SETTS - EN 1341, (4.1.2.2. Table 3)

Natural stone setts differentiate themselves from concrete stones and brick material because of their characteristic irregular shape.  However, this feature is as well their main disadvantage.  According to European standard EN 1342, even setts of the highest quality (Class 2) can have deviations on the nominal thickness of up to ± 15 mm.  For this reason, paving of natural stone setts is not an easy job at all.  It’s time-consuming and expensive and, when aiming for a quality pavement, it has to be performed by the scarce group of skilled craftsmen.

Ecostone® provides the intrinsically irregular stones with some regular characteristics: a fixed height and a manipulated width that is fundamentally the same for each and every stone.  However, while doing so, ecostone® retains the featured irregular shape of the natural stone setts.  Paving has become a piece of cake for every handy Harry.
